Spinning Wheels: Happy Birthday, Mom!

Today is mom's birthday! I don't think she'd appreciate me saying what number this is, so I'll just wish her a happy one! It's a nice sunny day today, but cold. We were going to go to the Old Country Buffet again, but mom isn't up to it. She doesn't do as well, physically, when it's cold outside. We both appreciate seeing the sunshine, that's for sure. We're ready for it to really feel like spring, as I'm sure the rest of you are as well!

Craig called this morning to wish mom a Happy Birthday. He has taken some time off from work to help Gail recover from a recent hip surgery. She has a really good surgeon who performed microscopic hip surgery - a new, and much better technique. I don't really know the specifics of how it works, but the scar is much smaller. However, she's dealing with pain and has to walk with crutches. Get well soon, Gail!

Steven will probably call sometime this evening. It's nice to talk to them both in the same day. Bonney's mom, Sara is down in Florida visiting Steven's family. I hope to see pictures, because I want to add them! Mom will never get on a plane, but someday soon I'd like to gather my courage and fly down there.
