Happy Easter!

It was a pretty pathetic Easter for Mom and I this year. I spent all morning not feeling well and not at all fit to go to church. Mom puttered around the house so much that she wore herself out. Even though it was sunny, it was rather cold and windy out today. I'd just love to have one WARM Easter Sunday, some year. One in which it isn't torture to wear a cute little Eastery dress or skirt. But it's Maine and it's early Spring, so what are ya gonna do?

Silly as it may seem, Mom and I usually give each other Easter baskets each year. We also hide them. Yup, we sure do. We have to create a little fun; we never get to spend Easter with family. Yes, I'm shamelessly dropping a huge hint.
The fact is, we're usually pretty lonely for family during all the holidays and would be more than glad to be a part of any of your celebrations. Mom would never impose by saying that, but I will. haha

Here's our baskets:

The pink one is mine. Mom got me a little stuffed Cadbury bunny that goes "Bok bok bok, bok bok bok". It's too cute. It's from those old Cadbury Cream Egg commercials. Remember?

Sigh. I miss the 80s.
The holiday commercials were the best.
Anyway, I'll leave you with this to remind us all what Easter is REALLY about. Mom and I hope you all had a blessed, peaceful, and happy Easter this year!

The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: 'He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told you."
-Matthew 28:5-7
